Mountainside Recreation Centre

The Mountainside Recreation Complex has racquetball, squash and tennis courts, an indoor swimming pool, steam room, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, fitness room, lounge area with a large stone fireplace, library, pool table, and shuffleboard. The Reception Desk and the Administration Offices of Fairmont Villa Management are also housed within the Recreation Centre.

This beautiful building was completed in 1982, and subsequently donated to Mountainside Villas by Fairmont Hot Springs Resort Ltd. Its use is restricted to you, the owners and guests, of Fairmont Mountainside Vacation Villas. It has enhanced the value of your investment to a considerable degree, and represents the quality you will find throughout the Fairmont Hot Springs Resort area.

Owners in good standing are entitled to use all of the facilities at the Mountainside Recreation Centre, at no extra cost, throughout the year. While staying at Mountainside, all villa occupants are entitled to use the Recreation Centre.

Children 14 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult (19 and over) at all times anywhere in the Recreation Centre and tennis courts.

The Recreation Centre is open 7 days a week. The regularly scheduled opening time is 9am. The pool complex closes at 9pm and the building closes at 10pm

**PLEASE NOTE: The Recreation Centre is a smoke and alcohol free zone**

SQUASH, RACQUETBALL AND TENNIS

Courts may be booked in advance. Members are entitled to two hours of court time per day, which may be booked up to a day in advance. Clean white, or light-soled, shoes (which will not mark the courts), and protective eyewear for the indoor courts is mandatory. Please do not wear the shoes you intend to play in on your way to the Recreation Centre as they pick up dirt and small stones etc., which will damage the courts. If you do not have appropriate footwear you may play barefoot, but at your own risk. DO NOT play in socks as they are slippery and may cause serious injury.
• Racquet Equipment Rental is available at the front desk

A selection of tennis, squash, racquetball racquets, balls and protective eyewear are available from the Recreation Centre Reception Desk, at very reasonable rates. (currently unavailable)

There are no lifeguards on duty. Life jackets and water wings (those that slip onto the arms) are allowed, provided an adult is present in the water with the child. Air mattresses, balls or toys of any kind are not permitted.

The indoor swimming pool is maintained at approximately 30 degrees Celsius (85 degrees Fahrenheit). The indoor hot tub should be slightly cooler than the outdoor hot tubs, which are generally no warmer than 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit).

• Change Rooms

Lockers are provided in both the Ladies’ and Men’s change rooms. They require a quarter (Canadian only) deposit, which will be refunded when the key is reinserted. Towels are provided near the change room entrances.
